The Wellington Musical Electronics Library (MEL) is a lending library of handmade electronic musical devices in Wellington, New Zealand. MEL is located at Pyramid Club, upstairs at 272 Taranaki Street, Wellington, 6011.

Wellington MEL will be launched on Sunday February 14th at 4pm, at Pyramid Club. Thereafter, Wellington MEL will be open on Saturdays from 4pm-6pm, when a volunteer will be present to assist patrons and issue items from the collection. Items can be returned during this time, or to Pyramid Club staff when the venue is open for events. Donations of money, electronic parts, equipment and skills are always welcome!

MEMBERSHIP POLICIES:

Membership is available to all Wellington residents.

Membership is free, with an optional joining donation - $20 is suggested.

Membership may be revoked at the discretion of library staff.

LENDING POLICIES:

There are no borrowing charges.

The lending period is three weeks.

Up to two items can be borrowed at any time.

Fees may be charged for overdue items, or membership may be suspended.

A replacement fee will be charged for severely damaged items.

Members are welcome to use library items in live performances and recordings. It is suggested that acknowledgement of MEL be given where possible.
